Founded by Italian-American entrepreneur Eugene Altieri after relocating to Panama in 1973, Altieri Specialty Coffee has grown from two farms in Boquete into a respected multigenerational coffee operation. The family has built a reputation for producing exceptional specialty coffees, earning Top 3 placements at the Best of Panama competition in both 2017 and 2024. Beyond coffee quality, the company is also recognized for its hands-on customer relationships and strong investment in worker welfare through housing assistance, education opportunities, and access to healthcare for employees and their families.
Dilgo, a coffee from Mima Estate, is cultivated at approximately 1,780 meters above sea level along the fertile slopes of Baru Volcano. As the first Geisha-planted lot within the Estate, it reflects the farm’s dedication to premium varietals and meticulous processing standards.
